Our core group of consultants, and several hundred specialists, work through four principal Directors, as profiled below:

John Sayer BSc, CDipAF, CEngMIChemE
John is a Chartered Engineer with over thirty years' experience of working at senior management level in business operations ranging from Blue Chip organisations to small developing companies. He is an experienced project manager with an enviable record of delivering tasks both on time and within budget. John's original technical training was as a Chemical Engineer and, in addition to being our Managing Director, he heads up our energy and environmental services division.

John Pye MBA, ACIB.
John specialises in strategic and financial issues based on many years experience in private and banking industries, at senior Manager and Director level. Strategic Management is rarely undertaken properly by companies and John brings a highly professional approach to this important feature for a businesses' success. A founder member of the Company.

Bill Watton MSc.,BSc,.MIM.
Bill is a Chartered Engineer with wide experience of new product development as a designer, manager and consultant. Bill has spent most of his career in aerospace and precision engineering, and has considerable hands-on experience in running medium sized engineering companies. He also manages our International operations, with notable success in the Middle East. He is one of the founder members of the business.

Peter Barton FIPD
Peter is our Human Resources Director with over 30 years experience in Personnel Management. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Personnel and Development, and has won a formidable reputation in Employment Law with our SME clients. He also carries out training for Investors in People, Health & Safety Management, and many other general projects within the HR field.

Other key members of our team include:

Jeremy Boardman - leads our grants team and has extensive experience in obtaining grants from both UK and EU funding sources. Jeremy has been highly successful in securing substantial grants for capital projects, Research & Development, and overseas joint ventures for a large number of clients.

Graham Colbrook - an AIAG accredited lead auditor for QS 9000 systems, a registered ISO 9000 lead auditor and also a registered environmental auditor with third party experience. He has advised many companies on the necessary requirements to achieve accreditation. Graham has worked in a broad spectrum of manufacturing industry.

Simon Cross - has many years experience in marketing, general management and IT, in the UK and the USA. Simon and his team specialise in e-business and e-commerce solutions, providing advice, training, web site design, and online promotion services.

David Ludley - a marketing and IT expert who specialises in advising SMEs on best practice. He has many years senior management and board level experience in the IT industry in private, public and multi-national companies.

David Milner - a manufacturing and quality specialist who is also an accomplished trainer. He delivers the majority of the MBA QS 9000 workshop programme, as well as providing consultancy to individual clients. He has many years' experience in the automotive industry including spells with Rolls Royce, Leyland Truck and Bus, Chrysler (UK) and Rover Group.

Derrick Sharps - is a senior member of our energy team. He was responsible for the overall energy management programme for the Michelin Tyre UK Group and carries out energy management presentations in both the UK and mainland Europe on behalf of several clients, including ETSU.

Jonathan Smith - a highly experienced management professional with broad experience of introducing leading edge management techniques into a wide variety of organisations. He has held senior positions in management consultancy, product design and development, project and quality management, and also as the Managing Director of an automotive components manufacturer.

John Worts - an experienced Quality Systems consultant, and a trained Lead Assessor for ISO 9000. He has helped many companies to achieve accreditation to ISO 9000 and is, in addition, currently working with several companies who are extending their accreditation to the QS 9000 standard, as suppliers to the automotive sector.
