Strategic Planning
Too often, strategic planning is a "mind numbing" activity scheduled
on a yearly basis. Companies dread the process; it is too often
seen as formal and rote, and it simply wastes precious time, with
little results.
However, strategic planning doesn't have to be that way. In fact
it can be one of the most useful activities that a work unit or
an organisation can use for creating commitment to a project or
for enhancing the organisation's competitive position in the marketplace.
The key is that strategic planning, to be effective, must be a participatory
process that involves the people in the organisation, not just the
planners from the Planning department!!
Our goal is to work with you as a partner to ensure that:
- Your strategic planning efforts are useful and productive
- Participants in the process understand the purpose, philosophy,
design and planning aspects of the operation
- Creativity and environmental information are used as the foundation
for the formulation of competitive strategies
- The right people with the right information are part of the
process.
- Your team avoids the pitfalls of planning
- A logical process is designed to facilitate results, with an
action plan, and descriptive outline.
- The resulting document plan is brief, useful, and descriptive
providing a basis for action within the organization.
